Everton now know the path they will face in the new Premier League season and Frank Lampard’s first full campaign in charge.
Thursday saw the full fixture list for the 2022/23 campaign confirmed for all 20 clubs, with the Blues being handed an opening day home clash against Chelsea. It will see Everton boss Lampard take on his former club for the second time since taking over at Goodison Park.
The first away trip for the Blues sees them travel to face Aston Villa in the second week of the campaign, followed by another home match against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest. The first eight matches up to the September international break also see Everton face the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and Leeds United.
