Stand-in skipper Nicole Pratt is backing her new-age charges to pilot Australia back into the Billie Jean King Cup big time after naming teenage sensation Maya Joint as the team's new spearhead.

After a spectacular two-title season, Joint will lead Australia into battle at next month's all-important playoffs against Brazil and Portugal in Hobart.
