American import Casey Prather headlines a core group of Brisbane Bullets players confirmed to return for a shot at the NBL title next season.
Scoring spearhead Nathan Sobey has departed, but Mitch Norton, Sam McDaniel, Tyrell Harrison, Josh Bannan, Isaac White and Rocco Zikarsky have joined Prather in re-committing to the club.
Three-time NBL champion Prather joined the Bullets midway through last season but struggled to build fitness as the Bullets missed out on a finals spot.
With a better preparation, the former Perth Wildcats and Melbourne United swingman will bolster the Bullets' prospects heading into the new campaign.
"It's an exciting period for our club as we now build on to the foundation we have laid, and locking in key pieces was important for who we want to be," Bullets coach Justin Schueller said.
"Casey is a winner and we are excited for him to be back to the level he is used to playing in this league.
"Having him is a key part of our success moving forward."
Experienced guard Norton picked up his player option for next season and has extended his contract for another two years.
"Norto showed time and time again how important his play and leadership was to our group," Schueller said.
"For him to pick up his option and extend is a great sign of the direction we are going as a ball club."
Meanwhile, the Sydney Kings have exercised the second-year option of Makuach Maluach's deal.
Maluach is the fifth player signed to Brian Goorjian's team for the 2024/25 season, joining Shaun Bruce, Kouat Noi, Alex Toohey and Klairus Amir.
