Vineeta, a senior assistant in the copy section at judicial courts in Pilibhit, had fainted at home on the evening of February 22 while managing household work. Her family rushed her to the Autonomous State Medical College in Pilibhit, but due to the severity of her condition, doctors referred her to a more advanced facility in Bareilly.
At the Bareilly hospital, Vineeta’s condition was grim. Doctors found her Glasgow Coma Scale at just three points—well below the normal 15—indicating complete unresponsiveness. Her pupils were dilated, suggesting brain death, and neurotoxins were detected in her bloodstream and lymphatic system. After assessing her, the doctors informed her family that there was almost no hope of survival.
