Posts lie vacant in child rights body in Andhra Pradesh: PIL

VIJAYAWADA: A Public Interest Litigation has been filed challenging the inaction of the state government in constituting the Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights even after the expiry of the earlier commission 18 months ago. The high court issued notices to the state government to submit details regarding the appointment of chairman and members of the commission.

One Bonthala Praveena moved the high court with a PIL, challenging the inaction of the government in not appointing chairperson and members of the commission even after completing the selection process.
