Popworld Newcastle have appealed to their Facebook followers to help track down a NUFC fan who held up a flag paying tribute to the popular bar during the Manchester City match on Saturday.
And the fan in question stands to earn themselves a £50 bar tab at the Bigg Market haunt for their cheeky message in its honour. After tasting disappointment at the hands of City's arch rivals Man United at Wembley a week ago, Newcastle headed to the Etihad to take on the title hopefuls in one of the biggest Premier League ties of this weekend.
As they always are, the Magpies were well supported by the travelling fans who headed to the north west for the game, although they ended up heading back to Tyneside rueing United's missed chances as they lost 2-0.

Now either someone who works at Popworld was watching the match or had the flag tribute brought to their attention as, while the match was still on TV, they shared a screen grab from BT Sport of the flag, carrying the words 'Let's All Go To Popworld' on their Facebook page, writing: "We agree!! Who ever knows this massive Newcastle and Popworld fan in the middle, let him know we have a £50 bar tab waiting on his return back to the North East."
The post was quickly liked and shared hundreds of times, with a number of people claiming to know the man in question and tagging his friends and relatives in the thread.
Others just fully appreciated the gesture, with one commenting: "when in doubt go to pop world" and another writing: "I love pop world get a canny few shots for £50"
A third replied: "I want to be friends with him," as the likes continued to pour in on the post.
