A popular Edinburgh café has been forced to close its doors for the last time.
Todd’s at Marchmont Crescent made the announcement after what they described as a “tricky year” in a post online.
The owners at the café posted on Facebook to confirm the closure.

Speaking online they said: “I’m very sad to say that Todd’s won’t be opening our doors again. After what has been a tricky year it’s time to pass on the baton.
“I want to say an enormous thank you to all the wonderful people that visited and supported us, it’s been a true pleasure getting to know you and being a part of the fantastic Marchmont community.
"Wishing the new tenants of 24 Marchmont Crescent the very best of luck.”
The café struggled like many during the Covid-19 pandemic and posted on Facebook toward the end of last year, encouraging locals to pop in and support the local business.
However, by the turn of the year they had to close their doors and posted on January 10 saying that they would be shutting for a week or two.
This was sadly followed by today’s announcement as the owners decided to call time on the popular Marchmont café.
The coffee shop will be missed in the area, and locals lined up to wish them farewell and good luck in future endeavours.
It is unclear at this stage who the new tenants will be but Edinburgh Live will bring you the latest news when it becomes available.
