An Edinburgh cafe have shared they will be shutting for good after running for six years in the capital.
Ostara in Leith had been well-known for their popular brunch menus, with the eatery whipping up a range of classics and finer takes on staple dishes.
However, taking to social media this week, the site sadly informed their customers that they have made the "emotional" decision to close permanently.
Naming the reasons as both personal and professional, the cafe had recently been closed, with owners Dave and Carey now confirming they are "looking forward to a new chapter."

Speaking in a heartfelt post, they said: "Well, it's been a tough old couple of months....
"Many of you will have noticed that we have been closed recently. There were a few factors that led to this, both personal and professional, and we have now made the decision not to reopen Ostara.
"After six years and a few thousand Kimchi Scrambles, this has not been an easy decision...it has been emotional. However, we do feel that this is positive for us personally, and we are looking forward to a new chapter.
"We have wonderful memories and want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. Our community of enthusiastic brunch lovers have always inspired us and we have loved meeting you all.
"Last, but certainly not least, our amazing staff have been the heart of Ostara, providing legendary food, service and chat. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such a special team.
"It is not all sad! There are some exciting pop ups and events coming up in this wee corner soon, stay tuned, David and Carey."
Responding to the news, many locals were quick to share their memories of the cafe, with most commenting on how they would miss the iconic brunch menu.
One wrote: "Such sad news. Loved your food and the restaurant. Thank you and good luck with pastures new."
Another replied: "Best brunch in leith, maybe the city. You guys will be missed."
A third said: "Genuinely my favourite place for brunch. (I still tell people about the Haggis benedict with spicy tomato hollandaise). Best of luck!"
