Paris (France) (AFP) – Pope Leo XIV is set to begin an official visit to France on 25 September, with several thorny issues hanging over the trip, from clerical sexual abuse to the country's new assisted dying law.

Here are some of the key issues the pontiff is expected to face while on the first official visit to France by a head of the Catholic Church in 18 years:
