Two polling locations in western Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County experienced delays on Tuesday morning, but they are now operational, as confirmed by county spokesperson Abigail Gardner.
One of the polling sites in the borough of Whitehall faced a delay due to the judge of elections arriving late. However, Gardner reassured that the situation has been resolved, and the site is now open and running smoothly.
Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln Place neighborhood, there was a more significant issue as the judge of elections failed to show up at the polling place in the morning. Gardner mentioned that the sheriff is currently retrieving the poll book from the absentee judge of elections and will deliver it to the polling place, specifically the Lincoln Place Presbyterian Church.
Despite the initial setback, poll workers have been stationed at the Lincoln Place location, and Gardner assured that the site will be open and operating as usual for voters.
