Pictures from the scene of a crash in Colwick show the extent of the damage to two vehicles. The collision was reported to have taken place on New Vale Road, off the A612 Colwick Loop Road, at around 2pm on Monday, October 24.
Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries, but police say the photos "show how serious serious it could have been." In the images, both sides of one of the cars can be seen to have significant damage , with a van in the background also smashed at the front.
Police vehicles can be seen in the background. Following the crash, police have issued a warning ahead of the upcoming winter weather.
A tweet issued by Notts Road Policing read: "Team2 attended a three car road traffic collision in Colwick on Monday. No serious injuries but shows how serious it could have been.
"Please take extra care with the winter weather coming."
As a result of the collision Nottingham City Transport [NCT] buses were unable to serve New Vale Road. NCT's Red 44 buses were remaining on Colwick Loop Road and using a private road linking to the Colwick Industrial Estate.
