Police step up efforts to trace missing Lanarkshire man last seen on Monday

Police are stepping up their efforts in a bid to trace a missing Lanarkshire man.

Officers are re-appealing for the public’s help to trace Matthew Cosgrove who has been reported missing from the Lanark area.

We told you earlier this week how the 55-year-old was last seen about 3.30pm, Monday, February 27.

That was in an area described as a dirt path near the town’s New Trows Road.

Matthew is described as 5ft 6in, with short red/auburn hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a white baseball cap, black biker style jacket, red chino trousers and black shoes.

Anyone who may have seen Matthew since this time, or who has any information which may assist us with enquiries, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101.

Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
