Authorities in Maryland are actively searching for suspects and a vehicle linked to the daylight murder of Idongesit Udosen, a 30-year-old garbage collector who was fatally shot last week in Hyattsville. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 4, at approximately 3:40 p.m. in the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway.
Upon receiving reports of a shooting, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department rushed to the scene to find Udosen lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The police department has released images of the suspects involved in the crime, as well as footage showing the car used during Udosen's murder. The vehicle, identified as a gray Kia sedan, was captured on video driving along Greenvale Parkway before the fatal shooting took place. In the footage, the driver is seen parking the car near a van and three garbage cans, where the suspects later exited the vehicle to carry out the attack on Udosen.
While investigators are still working to establish a motive for the crime, they have ruled out the possibility of it being a random act of violence. The police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle to come forward. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for details that lead to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for Udosen's murder.
This tragic incident has shocked the community, and law enforcement officials are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice. The public's assistance in providing any relevant information is crucial in solving this case and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
