Police are trying to find a distinctive car that they believe was used in a Canberra shooting.
Brendon Cross, 20, of Karabar, has been charged over the shooting. He has been remanded in custody and has not entered any pleas.
Police have alleged Cross was driving the car when he approached a man and a woman who were walking on George Street, Oaks Estate, about 12.20am on Wednesday, May 1.
"At this time, police allege he exited the vehicle, and fired a single shot at the man, who was believed to be known to the 20-year-old," they said in a statement.
Police have previously said the victim was taken to hospital with serious, not not life-threatening, injuries.
They said they have not found the car they say Cross was driving at the time, an orange Nissan Micra.
"The Nissan has a number of distinctive stickers on the rear and sides of the vehicle, and also has extensive hail damage. Police understand the vehicle is currently not displaying registration plates," they said.
They have issued photos of it, in the hope someone has seen it.
