Police search under way for man who went missing in County Durham

A police search is under way for a man who went missing in County Durham.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Rusiate Sigatolu who went missing on Tuesday afternoon. The 23-year-old was last seen between Durham City and Witton Gilbert.

A statement from Durham Constabulary said: "Have you seen Rusiate Sigatolu? Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the 23-year-old who went missing at around 2.45pm today. He was last seen between Durham City and Witton Gilbert and is described as black, of stocky build, around 6ft 3in tall and has a beard."

The force added: "He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and tracksuit top and was not wearing any shoes."

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Rusiate should contact the force on 999.
