Police have launched a search for a missing Paisley teenager amid growing concern for his welfare.
16-year-old William McGonigle was last seen in Paisley town centre at around 9.20pm on Sunday night.
William is described as white Scottish ethnicity, 6ft in height, slim appearance with short brown hair. Officers involved in looking for the teenager say his disappearance is 'completely' out of character as they urge anyone with information to come forward.
An appeal issued by the Renfrewshire Police Division this Tuesday morning says: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace missing person William McGonigle, age 16.

"William was last seen around 2120 hours on Sunday 16th January 2021 from the town centre area of Paisley. William is described as white Scottish ethnicity, 6ft in height, slim appearance with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a grey Slazenger hoodie, dark Grey Slazenger tracksuit bottoms, white Lacoste T-shirt and blue Adidas trainers."
Police Constable Gardner from Paisley Police Station says: "We have growing concerns for William as this is completely out of character for him and as time goes on we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare".
Anyone who may have seen William or have any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1533 of 17th January 2022.
