A warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection to a deadly cocaine haul in Newcastle.
Last Monday a diver's body was found floating in Newcastle Port.
About 50 kilograms' worth of cocaine was found nearby.
Police believed that was only a portion of the shipment, which may have involved as much as 300kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of $20 million.
On Tuesday police issued a warrant for 32-year-old Jhoni Fernandes Da Silva.
The South American is wanted by the Organised Crime Squad.
He is described as being of South American appearance, about 180 centimetres tall and of a muscular build with a shaved head and brown eyes.
Experienced mariner, James Blee, 62, is the only person to be charged in relation to the cocaine haul.
Detective Superintendent Robert Critchlow said Mr Da Silva "may have some knowledge about what has happened" to the diver.
The ship remains in the Port of Newcastle after its departure, scheduled for Monday, was pushed back.
It is now due to leave the on Thursday, but its destination is unclear.
