Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to help enquiries relating to a serious assault in Glasgow city centre. The incident occurred around 3.20pm on Saturday July 2 on Argyle Street, near Sainsbury's at the Trongate.
A 42-year-old man sustained serious facial injuries. Medics rushed to the scene and took the victim to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to his wounds.
Officers are keen to trace a man who was spotted at the scene of the incident and may have information. He is described as white, 6ft, of slim build, with short, dark hair, and a trimmed beard.
He was wearing a dark-coloured, Hugo Boss t-Shirt, a grey jumper, dark-coloured shorts, and dark-coloured trainers.
Detective Constable Jenna Baillie said: “The area was busy around the time of this incident and I am asking anyone who saw anything to get in touch."
This man, or anyone with information on this incident or who recognises the man in the images, is asked to contact Detective Constable Baillie at Glasgow City Centre Police Station by phoning 101, quoting reference 2153 of July 2.
