Police release CCTV as investigation into bottle shop robbery continues

Detectives have released CCTV footage as an investigation into a robbery at a Hunter bottle shop continues.

About 10pm on May 22, police were called to a bottle shop on the corner of Maitland Road and Sydney Street at Muswellbrook.

At the scene, officers were told three people had forced their way into the business and assaulted an employee before stealing alcohol.

Hunter Valley Police District officers established a crime scene and launched an investigation.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a woman they believe might be able to help with inquiries. She is shown wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, with black pants and white sneakers.

CCTV footage has also been released of a black Holden Cruze sedan seen in the area at the time of the incident.

On May 25, police arrested a 17-year-old boy and charged him with robbery in company and 10 unrelated offences.

The boy was initially refused bail, later granted conditional bail and will face children's court again in September.

Anyone who is able to identify the woman, the vehicle or its occupants, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
