Emergency services raced to a Kirkcaldy street this morning after reports of a man 'hanging over' a balcony of a block of flats.
Police say they were called to Invertiel Terrace at around 7.30am following a disturbance at a property.
Ten police vehicles, riot vans, a rapid response unit and multiple officers, firefighters and paramedics are currently on scene as cops deal with the incident.
Locals told the Daily Record a man is currently hanging over a balcony.
Posting on Fife Jammers Facebook page, one man said police are attempting to enter the flat carrying riot shields.
He wrote: "Seen the police going in with riot shields."
Another person posted a picture of the man, saying: "Man Hanging over veranda."
Another man said: "It’s next to my flat 10 police cars police, commandos, fire brigade and ambulance here."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance at a property on Invertiel Terrace in Kirkcaldy around 7.35am on Saturday, 21 May. 22
“Emergency services attended and a 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident
“The incident was contained to a single property, no one was injured and there was no threat to the wider community.”
