Police have launched a homicide investigation into the death of a woman at Rockhampton on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to an address in West Street, Allenstown, at around 3:50pm, where the body of the woman was located inside.
Her death is being treated as suspicious.
A crime scene has been declared, and a 35-year-old man is currently speaking with police.
Forensic investigators remained on scene Sunday evening, taking photos of the interior and exterior of the house.
Police also continued interviewing residents in neighbouring properties, into the evening.
Investigations are continuing.
