A Dyfed-Powys police constable sexually touched a woman in a pub without her consent. An misconduct hearing at the force's headquarters on Thursday, May 18 2023, found that former police constable Mr Simon Williams would have been sacked had he not already retired.
PC Williams, who previously worked in Ceredigion, retired from the force in March of this this year whilst under investigation for a sexual offence that occurred in November 2022.
The offence, which occurred off duty and in a pub, involved sexually inappropriate behaviour towards a female member of the public, including sexually touching the victim without her consent. Mr Williams fully admitted the offence in interview and received a conditional caution.
