Detectives have named a cyclist who died after a collision with a bus in south London as they continue to appeal for witnesses and footage from the incident
Police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene on the junction of Kennington and Lambeth roads where Oswald Mapp, 62, was found with fatal injuries.
The collision happened at around 10.10pm on May 2 and he died in hospital two days later.
Mr Mapp’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The bus driver stopped at the scene and continues to assist officers with their enquiries. There have been no arrests.
Detective Sergeant Nick Bale of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command said: “The scene of the collision is a busy road and I am sure that there were witnesses who have not yet come forward. I urge those people to get in touch.
“Similarly, I would ask any motorist who was in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cam and if they have footage of the collision, or the events surrounding it, to contact us without delay.”
