The firebombing of a car linked to a wealthy businessman is also being connected to a blaze at his home garden bar last year.
The latest in a long list of fire-raising attacks in Bothwell took place last Friday when a BMW 420 coupe was torched in the driveway of a home in Pailis Crescent.
Police have now confirmed that the attack on Alan Macrae's car is being treated as linked to the May 2021 blaze that destroyed a £55,000 external bar at his family home just a mile away.
