Police launch search for missing pensioner travelling between Scots cities

A search operation is underway to trace a missing Scots pensioner who police say 'may seem confused'.

Christopher Cook has been reported missing from the Moredun area of Edinburgh, where he was last seen at 2.25pm yesterday. The 78-year-old is not from the capital, however, he frequented the area in the few days prior to his disappearance.

Cops say he may come across as confused or may mention his nephew's name, Milton. With concern mounting over his welfare, officers have urged anybody with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

Christopher is described as a white male with a tanned complexion, about 5ft 10in tall, of a skinny build and with shaggy grey/white hair. He speaks with an English accent.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a blue jumper with a white t-shirt underneath, black trousers and dark trainers. He was also carrying a dark green Marks & Spencer's bag.

The pensioner has recently been travelling between Scottish cities - including from Edinburgh to Glasgow and possibly Perth.

Anyone who may have seen Christopher since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2134 of 18 July.
