Police have launched an appeal for information, after a delivery driver was robbed in broad daylight in Renton.

The terrifying incident took place at around 4.10pm on Wednesday (March 2), near the junction of Leven Street at Alexander Street.

Two men threatened the driver, before making off with packages from the side of his delivery van and running in the direction of John Street. The victim, a 35-year-old man, was left shaken but uninjured by the incident.

Both suspects are described as being around 25-years-old, white, and around 5ft 9. The first was wearing a black face mask, a black hooded jumper and dark trousers. The second was wearing a short, shiny black puffer jacket.

Detective Constable Ben Brewer, from Clydebank CID, said: “Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries into this robbery and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“If you witnessed the incident, or have potential private CCTV or dashcam footage, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2264 of 2 March. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
