A car with blood on it has been seized by police as part of a homicide investigation after the stabbing death of a 20-year-old man south of Brisbane.
Police are also looking for a black SUV seen driving away from the scene.
Paramedics were called about 1am to Fermond Road at Underwood, near Logan, following reports a man had been stabbed.
They found him unresponsive and he could not be revived.
Investigators believe he was returning from a social function when he became involved in a disturbance.
"The reason for the interaction at the end of the street, we don't know," Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said, adding the incident "doesn't appear to be" gang related.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw a black SUV in the area between 1am and 2am.
Detective Superintendent Smith said the death was "tragic", especially given the age of the victim.
"Someone's died, it's a very emotional time, if you were a family member or friend of the deceased, you would be quite upset, and rightly so."
The deceased man's vehicle was also seized by police.
Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage showing the SUV in the area to come forward.
