Police launch desperate search for missing Scots man last seen on his hand bike in the Highlands

Police have launched a search for man who went missing whilst taking part in an organised cross-country journey on his hand bike in the Highlands.

Gerard Storey was was last seen leaving the Ardgay area to start the Cross-Ross walk around around 10.45am on Tuesday, April 19.

The 64-year old was travelling on his yellow XCR hand cycling bike from the Easter Ross village and was due to arrive in Ullapool on the west coast.

But he has since been reported missing and concerns are now growing for his safety.

Gerard is described as 6ft, of average build with a bald/shaven head and with a full white beard.

He was last seen wearing Silver cycling helmet, yellow cycling jacket, black waterproof and wearing Crocs.

Anyone who may have seen Gerard, or who has any information on his/her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2929 of April 20.
