Nickelodeon star Drake Bell found after police declare him 'missing and endangered'

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell is "safe" after being declared "missing and endangered", police have confirmed.

The former child star had last been seen on Wednesday at around 9pm in the area of Mainland High School, Florida.

Daytona Beach Police Department took to Facebook to share an update on the case as they confirmed they were in contact with Drake.

"At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe."

Earlier today, they had taken to social media to plead for information for the missing 36-year-old.

Sharing a picture of Drake, they wrote: "Officers are looking for Jared Bell, DOB 06/27/1986.

"He should be traveling in a 2022 grey BMW and his last known location is potentially the area of Mainland High School on 4/12/2023 just before 9p.m.

"He is considered missing and endangered.

"If you know where he is or have any information, please contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or wallacejayson@dbpd.us."

In the comments, the police had been forced to reiterate "this is a legitimate post" and urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Back in January, it was reported Drake and his wife Janet Von Schmeling has separated and were "headed for divorce".

"They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy, and they’ll be great co-parents in the future.

"It's a bad moment in time for Drake. But he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober," a source told Page Six at the time.

They also said Janet moved back to Florida with their young son.

It's not the first time Drake has faced trouble since his time on Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh.

In 2021, he avoided serving jail time after pleading guilty to two criminal counts of attempted child endangerment and disseminating matters harmful to juveniles from an incident in 2017.

Drake was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service at a court in Ohio.

He allegedly met a girl — who is now an adult — online and sent her "inappropriate social media messages".
