Police are investigating after an attempted murder in Paisley last night.
At around 9.40pm on Friday night, police received a report of a man with serious injuries near Ferguslie Park Avenue at the junction with Barochan Way.
Emergency services attended and the 43-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are reviewing CCTV and asking that any drivers in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage to pass it on.
Detective Sergeant Buxton of Paisley CID said: “We are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the man being attacked to get in touch with officers.
“We also ask that drivers with dashcam footage pass it on to police.
“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 quoting police incident 3843 of Friday, June 10.”
