Recently released bodycam footage captures the intense moment when Seattle police officers fatally shot a 67-year-old man suspected of being a sex predator during a sting operation at a hotel in Tukwila. The suspect believed he was meeting two underage girls, ages 7 and 11, but was instead met by undercover officers from the Washington State Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
Upon confronting the suspect at the hotel room door, the situation quickly escalated as the suspect brandished a gun. In the ensuing chaos, officers attempted to disarm the suspect, leading to a series of gunshots being fired. Tragically, the suspect was killed at the scene, while one officer sustained a minor injury but is expected to recover.
