Police in Lanarkshire say concerns are 'growing' over safety of missing 51-year-old

Police in Lanarkshire are asking for help in tracing a missing man.

Stephen McGiniley was reported missing from the Hamilton area, with police saying “concerns are growing” for his welfare.

The 51-year-old was last seen leaving his home address in the Quarter area of the town around 5am this morning (July 14).

Now officers are asking for help from the public in tracing him.

Sergeant Jay Cavanagh-Lewsley told Lanarkshire Live: “Concerns are growing for Stephen’s welfare and I would ask anyone who may have seen him, or knows of his whereabouts, to please contact local officers urgently.”

Stephen is described as 6ft tall, of slim build, with short brown receding hair and was seen leaving his home driving a blue BMW Mini.

He was last seen wearing a grey coloured t-shirt, blue jeans and blue shoes.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
