Police hunt man after woman sexually assaulted on bus in Southwark

Police are looking for this man after a woman was sexaually assaulted at a bus stop and on a bus in Southwark.

Scotland Yard have released the image of the man who was captured on the bus CCTV.

The alleged attack happened at roughly 2am on Saturday July 23.

A woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted by a man at a bus stop in Lordship Lane, SE22 the Met said in a statement.

They added: “The woman then boarded a number 12 bus. During the journey she was sexually assaulted again by the same man. She reported the incident to police the following day.

“Detectives have carried out a number of enquiries and are now appealing for the public’s help to locate a man who was captured on CCTV boarding the bus.”

The suspect is described as being black, approximately 5ft 8in, and with afro hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie with rainbow-coloured writing on the front.
