Police are “extremely concerned" for the welfare of a 77-year-old man last seen in a Welsh park who has now been missing for more than three days. David Evans, from Llantrisant in Rhondda Cynon Taff, has not been seen since around 10.15am on Thursday morning when he was in Ynysangharad Park in Pontypridd.
Known locally as Russell, Mr Evans was wearing a full-length green raincoat, blue jeans, black shoes, glasses and possibly a scarf when he went missing. You can get the latest WalesOnline newsletters e-mailed to you directly for free by signing up here.
Police are urging people to check their outbuildings, sheds or anywhere someone could seek shelter for any sign of him. Detective Chief Inspector Emma Hampton of South Wales Police said: “Mr Evans has now been missing for three days and we are extremely concerned for his well-being. I am appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen him since Thursday morning or who has any information which may help us to find him, to contact us as soon as possible.
“We are asking local residents to check their outbuildings, garden sheds of anywhere someone may have sought shelter. Anyone who may have seen David Evans, or who has information which will help the police to find him, should contact South Wales Police quoting occurrence number 2300093630.”
