Police divers have been spotted in the river where Nicola Bulley's body was found as they 'carry out work to confirm her cause of death'.
The specialist cops are reportedly trying to confirm the cause of death and are looking in an area less than one mile from where the mum was last seen in St Michael's on the Wyre, Lancashire.
Lancashire Police confirmed divers were carrying out work in the River Wyre as part of the investigation.
A police spokesperson told the Lancashire Post: “We can confirm this is us carrying out some work at the direction of HM Coroner."
Mortgage advisor Nicola went missing on January 27 while walking her dog, the Mirror reports. A major search was sparked and the case gained widespread media attention across the UK.
Tragically Nicola's body was discovered on February 19 after weeks of intense searches in the area and river. The mum was deemed a "high-risk" missing person due to a "number of specific vulnerabilities".
Her phone had been connected to a work call at the time of her disappearance and her phone was found on a bench near the water's edge. Her dog Willow was also found nearby.
An inquest into her death is to be heard on Monday, June 26 at County Hall in Preston.
The Mirror contacted the coroner in Lancashire and Lancashire Police for a comment.
