Detectives investigating the murder of Sarah Henshaw believe they have found her body in a layby near an M1 motorway junction. The 31-year-old was last seen at her home address in Norman Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, at about 9pm on Tuesday June 20.
Derbyshire Police said Ms Henshaw’s family have been made aware of the discovery about 20 miles away near Chesterfield and are being supported by specialist officers. The force said that just after 12am today officers went to a layby off the westbound carriageway of the A617, close to junction 29 of the M1, where a body believed to be Sarah was discovered.
The discovery comes after a murder investigation was launched following they were alerted Friday June 23 that Sarah had not been seen since 9pm on Tuesday June 20 when she was last spotted at her home in Norman Street, Ilkeston.
