Police closed a main road in Lancashire this morning after a crash.
Emergency services were called to Meadow Lane , at Rufford, after reports of a crash. The incident happened on a canal bridge, from between Little Meadow Lane to Black Moor Road at around 7am on Thursday, December 22.
Officers blocked the road in both directions while repairs and recovery took place. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Road Closure Meadow Lane at Rufford (on the bridge over the canal close to the marina).

"The road is currently blocked in both directions at this location following a road traffic accident. Police are at the scene. Please avoid the area at this time."
Lancashire police later confirmed the incident was a "damage only" crash. The road later reopened at around 9am.
