Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery at a park in Bestwood.
The incident was reported to have happened at around 4.45pm on Thursday, January 27.
Police said a man threatened a group of people in Southglade Park, known locally as Padstow Field, and demanded their phones. No items were handed over before the man left on foot, police said.
Police have now released footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Helen Pannell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Although nothing was taken in this incident we are still taking it extremely seriously.
"Attempted robberies like this one can have a lasting impact on victims and we are determined to catch up with the person responsible for this distressing crime.
“To assist us, we are urging anyone who recognises the man in this footage to please get in touch with us as we believe he may have information which could aid us with our ongoing investigation.”
Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information, is asked call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 548 of January 27 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
