Police carry out speed checks in Keyworth following villagers' complaints

Officers have been conducting mobile speed checks in a Nottinghamshire village following complaints from residents. Rushcliffe Operation Reacher, part of Nottinghamshire Police, has been carrying out the checks in Keyworth.

Although the majority of drivers were found to be sticking to the speed limits, officers want to remind motorists to ensure they are travelling at appropriate speeds for the road and conditions they are in. In a Facebook post, Rushcliffe South Police stated: "While we would rather educate than prosecute, we will report driving offences to court where appropriate - so please slow down and ensure your vehicle is roadworthy."

Officers have urged residents to tell them about any questions or concerns they think Operation Reacher could assist with. The team can be reached via email at OpReacher-Rushcliffe@Notts. Police.uk
