Police have asked for the public’s help in tracking down a wanted man from Salford. Demaine York, 24, is wanted in connection with taking illegal items into prison.
He is thought to have connections to both Salford and Bury. Police are urging anyone who may know about his whereabouts to contact them.
GMP Salford said in a social media post: “We are appealing for your help to trace Demaine York from Salford.

“York (08/08/1997) is wanted in relation to conveyance of illegal items into prison, breach of restraining order and failing to comply with post sentence supervision. He is known to have links to Salford and Bury.
“Anyone with information about Demaine York’s whereabouts should contact GMP via gmp.police.uk or 101. Information can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
