Police Scotland are appealing for information following a serious road crash.
The accident involved two vehicles on the A760 between Lochwinnoch and Kilbirnie.
It happened around 5.50pm on Wednesday, involving a silver/green Smart Plus and a Vauxhall Vectra.

The 19-year-old driver of the Smart Plus was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and he is still there.
The driver of the Vectra was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
Police closed the road for three hours while investigations took place.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “One of the vehicles involved in the collision was a distinctive bright green colour.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“I would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out our investigation into this serious crash.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2532 of Wednesday, July 5.”
