Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in a Bromley park.
Officers were called to Jubilee Country Park by the London Ambulance Service at 2.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.
The victim, 19, was treated by air ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed but he has not been formally identified.
A post-mortem examination held on Friday gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Laura Semple said: “This investigation continues at pace and we are making progress in piecing together the events that led to this young man losing his life.
“However, we need the help of the public. I would ask anyone who was in the park area and who saw the events leading up to this attack to come forward and speak to police. I am especially keen to hear from people who may have captured events on camera or taken images that could assist our work. There is a dedicated online portal where footage and pictures can be uploaded.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 3972/20Sep.
