Andy Burnham acknowledged “risks to national security” posed by artificial intelligence as a top safety researcher at Anthropic suggested the technology could wipe out humanity in the next decade.
The Prime Minister faced questions in the Commons about the potential dangers of AI after Evan Hubinger warned he believed there was a greater than 10% chance it could pose a species-ending risk within 10 years.
