Sony will stop manufacturing physical discs for new PlayStation games from January 2028, but has still not decided when its next-generation console will launch or how much it will cost, the company has said.
Hiroki Totoki, chief executive of Sony Group, said in May that the firm had yet to settle on timing or pricing for its next system and was weighing different business models as memory costs rose.
