Like we did with our “Player Prowl” for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in Week 7, we’re facing a two-wideout conundrum for our pick off the Seattle Seahawks. So, if we were to hypothetically take any player from the Starbucks state and pour him into the Carolina Panthers roster, would it be DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett?
Well, in another similarity to our Tampa Bay choice, the age will be the tiebreaker here. Although Tyler Lockett is one of the most under-appreciated receivers in the game, as he’s on pace for his fourth straight campaign of at least 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns, we can get more tread out of the 24-year-old Metcalf.
Additionally, the massive 6-foot-4, 235-pounder could bring a whole new dimension to the Carolina offense—one that hasn’t had a legitimate bog-bodied end zone threat in quite some time. Oh, and dude’s a track star . . . like, legitimately.
Two takeaways from this:
1. Goodness gracious DK Metcalf is incredible for even sticking with these dudes at his size.
2. Track athletes are simply on a different plane of existence than everyone else pic.twitter.com/I3gA2lRQwc

Between his size, speed and athleticism, Metcalf is a pure freak. Partnering him up with DJ Moore and Terrace Marshall Jr. would give the Panthers (and whoever their long-term quarterback eventually is) a multi-faceted, multi-talented group of wide receivers.
Did we get it right?
