The Chicago Bulls lost their second-straight disappointing game on Thursday, falling to the Charlotte Hornets, 111-96.
Chicago was outscored 64-41 in the second-half, including a 17-point advantage for the Hornets in the fourth quarter.
DeRozan led the way for the Bulls with 28 points, three rebounds, and five assists on 9-of-21 shooting and 10-of-11 from the charity stripe.
Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and Patrick Williams all struggled from the floor, combining for just 19-of-55 shooting from the field.
With the loss, the Bulls fall out of the play-in tournament to No. 11 in the Eastern Conference.

DeMar DeRozan led the way for Chicago on Thursday, finishing with 28 points, three rebounds, five assists, and one steal on 9-of-21 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the free throw line.
Zach LaVine: B-
Zach LaVine’s shooting struggles continued on Thursday, shooting just 8-of-19 from the floor and 1-of-4 from deep. LaVine finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Nikola Vucevic: C+
Nikola Vucevic was underwhelming on Thursday, finishing with just 12 points and nine rebounds as he struggled from the floor, shooting just 5-of-16 and 0-of-6 from 3-point range.
Ayo Dosunmu: B
Ayo Dosunmu played well in Thursday’s loss, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds two assists, and one block on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.
Patrick Williams: B
Patrick Williams continued his streak of being aggressive on offense, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block on 6-of-15 from the floor, but struggled from outside, shooting just 1-of-7 from downtown.
Derrick Jones Jr.: B
Derrick Jones Jr. played 23 minutes off the bench with Javonte Green still out of the lineup, finishing with three points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Coby White: B-
In Thursday’s loss, Coby White finished with six points, three rebounds, and two assists, struggling on 2-of-9 shooting from the floor in 26 minutes off the bench.
