The Chicago Bulls snapped their four-game losing streak on Monday as they knocked off the Boston Celtics, ending their nine-game win streak, 121-107.
The Bulls got off to a hot start on Monday night as they outscored the Celtics by 13 heading into halftime as DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine combined for 23 points after 24 minutes of action.
In the second half, the Celtics tried to make a run but it was Chicago’s defense that was the star in this one as the activity and energy levels were at an all-time high so far this season.
DeMar DeRozan led the way with 28 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Zach LaVine bounced back from his benching on Friday to finish with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 8-of-20 shooting from the floor, including scoring nine points down the stretch in the fourth quarter.

DeMar DeRozan: B+
DeRozan led the Bulls on Monday night with 28 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. In three games against the Celtics this season, in which the Bulls are 2-1, Deebo is averaging 33 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
Zach LaVine: B+
After a 1-of-14 shooting performance, anything is an improvement. LaVine finished with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 8-of-20 shooting, which included scoring nine points in the final few minutes to clinch the victory over Boston.
Nikola Vucevic: A
Nikola Vucevic was did it all on Monday, finishing with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. Though he got only seven shots, hitting six of them, Vooch made the most of his opportunity and dominated his role.
Ayo Dosunmu: A-
Ayo Dosunmu played well on Monday, finishing with 16 points, three rebounds, and two assists on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor. Dosunmu defended Marcus Smart well in the win, forcing him to shoot just 3-of-9 from the floor.
Patrick Williams: A-
Patrick Williams had another solid outing on Monday against Boston, finishing with 17 points and four rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 from downtown. When Williams is aggressive like this and hitting his corner three’s, the Bulls are a lot more dangerous.
Alec Caruso: A-
Alex Caruso was a sticky bandit on Monday, finishing with 10 points, one rebounds, four assists, and four steals in 28 minutes off the bench. Caruso’s ability to poke the ball away and jump passing lanes is top notch in the league and is just one of the reasons why he’s a winning basketball player.
Andre Drummond: B+
Andre Drummond came off the bench on Monday and dominated the glass, finishing with five points and 12 rebounds in just under 13 minutes. Drummond’s elite rebounding helped give Chicago a 51-38 advantage on the glass.
Coby White: B+
Coby White is still trying to find his groove after missing eight games with a quad contusion but was aggressive in 13 minutes on Monday, finishing with nine points, two rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
