A plane passenger has divided opinions after throwing an epic tantrum because a baby on his flight wouldn't stop crying. The outraged man was recorded screaming and shouting across the plane, demanding the parents calm their baby down after listening to its cries "for 45 minutes".
However, his over-the-top reaction left many passengers in stitches, with some even pointing out how all the shouting likely made the baby cry even more. In a TikTok video, uploaded by @bad_ideas_galore, the man is heard screaming: "There is a child crying on the flight, non-f***ing-stop. Calm the child down, please. I'm not screaming. Do you want me to scream? I'll f***ing scream.
"We are in a f***ing tin can with a baby in a goddamn echo chamber and you wanna talk to me about being f***ing OK?"
A Southwest Airlines worker is seen trying to calm the situation - as he tries to explain how his continuous shouting isn't helping to calm the child.
He says "Okay, because you're yelling..." before being rudely cut off by the problematic passenger.
The annoyed man responded: "So is the baby! Did that motherf***er pay extra to yell? F**k you and shut up."
Other airline workers and passengers stepped in to try to calm the situation - but this only made him scream and swear more.
After landing at Orlando Airport, the passenger was seen trying to plead his case to the police, reportedly claiming he had a right to yell because the baby was yelling.
Speaking to Today.com, a Southwest Airlines spokesperson said: "We do not have details on this flight to share but commend our flight crew for their professionalism and offer our apologies to the other customers onboard."
But while the flight was a stressful experience for the parents, baby and this particular passenger, everyone else onboard struggled to keep in their laughter.
Commenting on the video, one user said: "Dude filming this is cracking up, he is the best."
Another user added: "I get the frustration, but I’ve been this mum. What the angry people didn’t know was I was flying to Kentucky to pick up my dad's ashes. I feel for this mum!"
A third user said: "I am howling. This man deserves a medal for speaking up. That’s exactly how I feel when a baby won’t stop crying on a plane."
One more user added: "I 1000 per cent agree with this man (admittedly, without knowing all of the details). I don’t know if I could handle a crying baby for 45 mins on a plane."
A fifth user said: "I get his frustration but it’s a child. Hell he made it worse. When he said did the baby pay extra I hollered."
