Strawberry season is here and farms across Merseyside offer you the chance to pick your own.
We're fortunate there are so many great places to on and near Merseyside, in fact you may find you're spoilt for choice.
Most places only offer the Pick Your Own (PYO) option during June-August. Luckily, there are several locations across Merseyside offering families the chance to pick their own by the basket.

Below, we've rounded-up some of the places across Merseyside where you can go and pick your own strawberries, some even have a café on site too so you can spend a few hours there.

Sandhill Strawberry Farm
Sandhill allows families the chance to pick all of their produce themselves or chose from the Farm Shop with no effort needed.
From June - mid-August, you can pick strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. You then have the option of finding yourself the perfect pumpkin for Halloween during October or a Christmas tree in December.

Claremont Farm
Claremont isn't the typical farm. It offers an array of events and evenings for the entire family to enjoy. Whether you're picking strawberries, or stopping by for a theatre or cinema night, there's no shortage of invitations to take up.
An onsite cafe makes the most of the fresh produce with everything made in-house to ensure the food is as fresh as possible. Claremont Farm also boasts a butchery counter, run by local butchers, Whieldons, who specialise in sourcing top-quality meat including rare breeds and specialist meats.

Kenyon Hall Farm
Kenoyon grows 14 different fruits and vegetables for you to pick during the summer. Strawberries, raspberries, onions and corn on the cob can all be gathered, as can a range of flowering and edible plants that are stocked in the Plant Centre.
The onsite cafe includes the option of an afternoon tea with everything freshly prepared. Little farmers can call by all year round to take up one of the numerous activities Kenyon Hall offers including Easter egg hunts and maze runs.

Bellis Brothers Farm Shop and Garden Centre
Established in 1860, the family-run business boasts an extensive dining menu - gluten-free options included - with the ingredients sourced right on the farm.
Though they close in order to ensure customers are given produce that's perfectly ripe, the farm includes a handy guide on their website that give a full rundown of when is best to stop by for all of their fruit and vegetables.
