A helicopter pilot has died in a crash in Queensland's central highlands, with emergency crews attending to a fire and fallen power lines on the scene.
Paramedics were called to the single occupant crash at Bingegang, west of Rockhampton, at 11.30am.
The helicopter was on fire when emergency crews arrived and an Ergon Energy crew was called to fallen power lines nearby.
The incident follows the death of a young couple and their unborn child in a light plane crash in the Whitsunday region on Sunday.
Rhiley Kuhrt and his pregnant wife Maree were reportedly travelling for a medical appointment when their plane went down in rugged terrain in the Mount Hector range, about 30km southwest of Proserpine.
